Our Warragul-based technical team plays a vital role in supporting dairy farms across Australia with cutting-edge milking solutions.
POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Milking Parlour Technician to join our technical service team. This hands-on role involves the installation, maintenance, and servicing of milking parlour systems and associated dairy equipment. You’ll work closely with farmers to ensure optimal performance and hygiene standards in their milking operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install and commission milking parlour systems and related equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs.
- Provide on-site technical support and training to farm staff.
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate service records and reports.
- Collaborate with the Daviesway technical and sales teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
- Be part of an on-call roster
REQUIREMENTS
- Trade qualification in mechanical, electrical, or agricultural engineering (preferred).
- Experience in dairy equipment servicing or farm machinery maintenance.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and travel to rural locations.
- Proficient with a wide range of hand and power tools
- MIG / TIG welding - preferred
- Current driver’s licence.
DESIRABLE
- Knowledge of dairy farm operations and milking systems.
- Familiarity with automated milking technologies.
- Commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.
