BARN EQUIPMENT SALES MANAGER

THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a Sales Manager to lead and grow our Barn Equipment Division across Australia.

This role focuses on developing sustainable sales growth by working closely with dairy producers to improve infrastructure, cow comfort, and overall farm performance. Success in this role requires strong commercial discipline combined with practical understanding of regional dairy systems, whether pasture-based or heat-intensive housed operations.

You will operate with autonomy while being fully accountable for territory performance.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop and execute a structured growth plan for your territory
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through proactive engagement
  • Conduct on-farm assessments and provide practical, performance-driven recommendations
  • Confidently discuss cow comfort, ventilation, airflow, heat stress management, barn design, and system efficiency
  • Present financially sound solutions aligned with farm objectives
  • Manage the full sales process from first meeting through implementation
  • Maintain disciplined CRM reporting and accurate forecasting
  • Work collaboratively with internal technical and support teams

WHO THIS ROLE SUITS

You may bring:

  • Dairy farming experience, particularly within pasture-based or housed systems
  • Agricultural or infrastructure sales experience in regional Australia
  • Practical understanding of herd performance, seasonal pressures, and operational constraints

You demonstrate:

  • Initiative and the ability to work independently
  • Confidence initiating conversations and developing new opportunities
  • Strong consultative selling capability
  • Comfort discussing performance metrics, ROI, and system improvements
  • Accountability for revenue targets
  • A team-first approach

Curiosity about how farm systems operate, particularly around ventilation, airflow, and cow comfort, will be highly regarded.
